Here at Oakland Heights Baptist, we strive to make each service a wonderful experience for your children. We offer a fun, loving environment where they can learn more about the Bible and our wonderful Savior. No matter their age, we have just the place for them.

AWANA - 2008 KICKOFF - August 27th - Club starts - September 3rd

Join us as we celebrate the start of another AWANA year with food, fun and games at the 2008 AWANA Kickoff Celebration August 27th. We'll meet in the Ministry Center at 6:30 for a great time of fun. The next week, September 3rd we'll start our club meetings.

AWANA program (2 years old to 5th grade) Wednesday night, 6:30... The AWANA program is an international, Bible-centered program that provides a game time, a handbook time, and a counsel time. This program rewards children for their participation with patches, ribbons and special achievement pins.

Awana Clubs International, which derives it's name from 2 Timothy 2:15 was formed over 50 years ago in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. by Art Rorheim. It is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for four-year-olds through sixth graders. Our goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

Children's Church

Kids having a great time Sunday mornings - Kids experiencing God full blast! That's The Kid's PLACE!

Kids PLACE combines Bible study, worship and personal application through the use of music, interactive games, large and small group activities and much more.

Elementary Sunday School

Sunday morning... These classes meet each Sunday morning. This is a more personal time with a smaller group of your child's peers. It is used to really apply God's Word to the life of the child and to help build relationships with their teachers and with other boys and girls.

Vacation Bible School

The game is on...and excitement is in the air! VBS 2008, Game Day Central: Where Heroes Are Made™ will get kids in the game and help them learn how to become heroes both on and off the field by focusing on Jesus and following God's plan for their lives. Kids will have an all-access pass for everything from the Worship Rally Arena to the Crafts Fan Zone. So, get ready for a record-setting Vacation Bible School with Game Day Central VBS - it's where heroes are made!

Vacation Bible School...ALL SUMMER LONG

Coming to OHBC Wednesdays this summer starting June 13th at 6:30 PM. Children in grades Kindergarten through 5th will enjoy a VBS style service every Wednesday night. Don't miss the fun!!

Camps and Retreats

Even kids like to get away from it all from time to time and enjoy nature. Our Children's Ministry takes the OHBC kids on retreat to focus on fun and spiritual growth.

The 2008 theme for camp is based on the movie "The Chronicles of Narnia". This retreat will be at John Tanner State Park, July 20th through the 23rd. The cost is $75.00 per child. Registration forms can be obtained at the church office.
